Sunday is going to be a nice day and it's going to be a great day to spend with family and friends in South Montrose. It's the first annual Pennsylvania Homeless Vets "FUN FAIR" honoring Manuel A. Mirailh.

The American Legion Post 154 in South Montrose is the site of a fun filled afternoon of games, food, and family activities to help homeless military veterans throughout Pennsylvania. It's happening from noon until 6 PM, rain or shine.

A dunk tank will pit local celebrities against each other in a challenge to raise the most money from their respective organizations, A variety of games, bounce house and entertainment will appeal to all ages.

Raffles, silent auctions, and other activities will continue throughout the afternoon. Adult beverages will be found inside the social quarters.

A huge menu from steaks to sweets will be served throughout the afternoon, with no appetite too extensive for the culinary commandos at the Gardner Warner Post. There will be variety of vendors of arts, crafts and flea market merchandise.

One in four homeless men has served our country in the United States military. This will be the first In a series of annual events to eliminate this statistic, and this goal will not be reached until every veteran in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania has a roof over his head and a meal on his table.

This was the mission of veteran, Manny Mirailh, who perished last year, and for whom this event has been named.
