Owego Treadway Inn is Sold

A Tioga County landmark that is cemented in hundreds of memory books for weddings, birthday parties, anniversaries, romantic escapes, corporate gatherings and other special events is changing hands.

The Owego Treadway Inn has been purchased by Rudra Management Company of Buffalo.

The Western New York hotel management company plans to convert the Treadway into a Red Roof Inn and is also buying the accompanying Holiday Inn Express and Hampton Inn properties in Owego.

A Rudra Spoksman said the associates at the properties will stay on.

The Owego hotels have been staples in the community for over four decades.

The signs of the new ownership and Red Roof branding will become evident within the next couple of months.
