The Owego Police Benevolent Association is looking to help families who have members hospitalized away from home.

The OPBA is collecting items for the Ronald McDonald House of Central New York, which is located in Syracuse an serves the Southern Tier as well as Central New York.

Donations of items like grocery and other store gift cards, trash bags, liquid hand soap, paper towels, paper plates, office supplies and toys and games will be collected in the lobby of the police station Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. or August 6 at the Owego Price Chopper on Main Street between 8 a.m. and 4 p.m.

Ronald McDonald House provides meals and an affordable place to stay for families when a child, sibling or grandchild is getting treatment at a local hospital.
