Broome County economic development officials are finalizing plans for a "one-stop facility" that could house several organizations in the Town of Dickinson.

The project calls for the construction of a two-story building on the SUNY Broome Community College campus. The structure is to be located off Front Street near the south entrance to the campus.

The Broome County Industrial Development Agency has been working with the Greater Binghamton Chamber of Commerce and several other prospective tenants for the facility.

The new building is expected to have between 15,000 and 20,000 square feet of space. Planners are hoping groundbreaking for the project could occur sometime this summer.

The IDA is swapping the old county library property on Exchange Street in downtown Binghamton with SUNY Broome to obtain the site for the one-stop facility.

SUNY Broome intends to develop a culinary and events planning center in the former library building.
