Many think that the signs sounds and aromas of fair season are over once the Great New York State Fair ends in Syracuse but hold on, there's one that you might want to catch before the leaves begin to fall.

The Bloomsburg Fair is just about a two-hour drive and runs September 24 through October 1st in Bloomsburg Pennsylvania.  A tradition now for 161 years, people come from all over to attend this late-season fair and one of the reasons is the great entertainment lineup.  I'll never forget going to see George Strait headline a show in Bloomsburg a number of years ago now.  Take my word, this fair is totally worth the drive.

In addition to a week filled with tractor and truck pulls, a Painted Pony Rodeo and a demolition derby, there are a number of 5-star country music concerts including Jake Owen with Old Dominion on September 27th, Lee Brice with Ben Gallaher September 28th, The Band Perry on the 29th.  If you time it right, you can catch some of the free music featured for the week.

So the next time someone tells you they are bummed fair season is over, they obviously don't know about the Bloomsburg Fair.
