My friends like to jab at me because I've never owned an iPod. I'm a MP3 player girl. As far as I'm concerned, it works just as well as an expensive iPod and it looks like I'm not the only one occasionally who prefers 'old school' gadgets.

As technology continues to improve, there are a lot of people who aren’t impressed and who are instead are clinging to some of the older gadgets.

For example, Apple’s iPods have been changing and evolving for years. But some people liked and continue to like the old discontinued iPod Classic that they’re willing to spend up to $1,000 on eBay to get their hands on one.

People seem to love the old model because it holds a lot more songs than the current version. And, they like that the old model doesn’t store music in the cloud because it means there’s no need to be in a hotspot or pay a monthly subscription to listen to their music.

So they’re rejecting the new models with all the bells and whistles – and opening their wallets in a big way for these “relics.”
