As you know, I'm celebrating No Shave November and we're just past the half way point. My sister, Michelle, wanted to see how I was doing, so here's how I look.

In the past I've highlighted Epithelioid Sarcoma, Glioblastoma and Myelofibrosis, I hope you’ll take the time to check out these rare forms of cancer. Today I'm turning my attention to Pancreatic Cancer.

November is Pancreatic Cancer Awareness Month. Keith Urban (who is one of our Taste of Country Music headliners) wants to raise the awareness of this disease.

He's involved with the Nikki Mitchell Foundation. Nikki was a longtime friend of Keith's and was manager for Waylon Jennings. She died of pancreatic cancer in 2013. Keith said, "There is no early detection. No one talks about pancreatic cancer because, it's a death sentence."

Pancreatic cancer has also claimed the lives of country legends, Ray Price and Hank Cochran. It's predicted that it will be the 2nd deadliest cancer by 2020, yet only 2% of the National Cancer Institute's budget goes toward fighting it.

World Pancreatic Cancer Day was November 13th. If you'd like to join Keith Urban's fight against this disease, go here.

Speaking of Keith Urban, on Thursday morning at 7:15, we'll be announcing who else will be joining him and Tim McGraw at the 2015 Taste Of Country Music Festival.
