Newark Valley Woman Charged with Welfare Fraud

Bob Joseph/WNBF News [file][/caption]Tioga County Sheriff’s officials say a Newark Valley woman is facing felony charges following an investigation into possible welfare fraud.

35 year old Amanda Pizzardi is charged with two felony counts of criminal possession of a forged instrument, felony welfare fraud and felony offering a false instrument for filing.

Officials say the charges stem from an investigation conducted by the Tioga County Department of Social Services.

Pizzardi was sent to the Tioga County Jail on $10,000 bail.
