New York State Wants Toby Keith’s ‘I Love This Bar’ in Syracuse to Pay Up

In April I told you that New York had sued Toby Keith's ‘I Love This Bar’ in Syracuse for not turning over sales tax revenue to the state’s Department of Taxation and Finance. Well, the bar is back in the news.

The Post-Standard of Syracuse reports that a tax warrant filed by New York this month is looking for the $107,000 owed to the state by Toby Keith's I Love this Bar & Grill at the Destiny USA shopping mall in Syracuse.

The bar, which opened last year also owes more than $145,000 in sales taxes from earlier in 2013.

Toby isn’t personally in trouble because he doesn’t own any of his “I Love” restaurants. Toby has a licensing agreement that allows the owners to use his name. However I can't image he's too thrilled a bar bearing his name is all over the news and not in positive light.
