When I got married, I had an outdoor ceremony and decided to stray from the norm and to wear a dress that could easily be worn again and again because I wanted to be comfortable and get the most for my money. I'm totally all about casual dress, but I'm not so sure I would have been able to go this casual.

The newest wedding trend is bridal shorts. For real.  J. Crew has introduced a new wedding fashion trend for the Spring 2015 season and that trend is white sequin bridal bridal shorts with a matching sequin shell tank for the bride who's simply too cool to wear a dress or something a little more fancy.

But here's the catch- if you think you're going to get off cheap because it's shorts and a tank, think again. The Laine Sequin Shorts will set you back$450 while the matching Laine Racerback Sequin Shell tank costs $400.

In case you're curious, below is a picture of the dress I wore when I got married. I paid $75 for a dress that I love and can wear over and over. Sure- you can wear the shorts and tank over and over, but if you spent $850 on an outfit, wouldn't you constantly be freaking out about accidentally spilling something on it and ruining it? I know I would. I love my $75 dress, but if it got stained, I wouldn't want to crawl into a hole and disappear.
