Thursday, November 3rd is a very special day for me. It's not only my birthday but it's my sister, Michelle's and my daughter, Tara's birthday.

Michelle was born on my 2nd birthday. I wanted a monkey for my birthday but I got a sister instead. I thought for sure that I would get the monkey for Christmas. Didn't happen then and I'm still waiting.

Tara was born on my 40th birthday and it's hard to get a better present then that.

However this year, November 3rd will be special for another reason. It's the day, we find out what the new name will be for the Double-A Mets formerly known as the Binghamton Mets.

If you forgot what the six names were, here they are in alphabetical order:

Binghamton Bullheads

Binghamton Gobblers

Binghamton Rocking Horses

Binghamton Rumble Ponies

Binghamton Stud Muffins

Binghamton Timber Jockeys

The announcement of the Binghamton's professional baseball franchise's new name is at 10:30 am at Benjamin Franklin Elementary School.

The ceremony, originally scheduled for 3pm at NYSEG Stadium, is not open to the public. The site was changed because of the rain that is expected for Thursday.

Students from the school will be there when the club's updated name, logo and colors are reveled.

The team's home opener will be on April 13th. Go here to find out the latest info with the new team. What name do you think it'll be?
