The Binghamton Zoo at Ross Park is happy to announce that Jacqueline Peeler will be it's new Executive Director.

Jackie is returning to the Binghamton Zoo at Ross Park where her zoo career began in 1984. She graduated from Whitney Point High School and attended both Broome Community College and SUNY Binghamton.

She started her career at the Binghamton Zoo as a volunteer, and in 1986 started as a visitor services associate and seasonal zookeeper. She eventually became a full-time zookeeper, interim vet technician and finally a senior zookeeper.

Jackie moved to the North Carolina Zoo and the Miller Park Zoo in Bloomington, Illinois. In 1999 she took the position of Assistant Director and General Curator at the Henson Robinson Zoo in Springfield, Illinois and accepted the position of Director in 2014.

Jackie began her second journey with the Binghamton Zoo at Ross Park on January 16th taking over for interim director Steven Contento.

Binghamton Zoo members and visitors will be able to meet Jackie on Grand Opening Day and Members Only Night, both on Saturday, April 22nd.
