New Artist Spotlight: Dan+Shay

98.1 The Hawk loves bringing you fresh new music first and there's a new duo I am very excited about that I would love to introduce you to, by the name of Dan+Shay.

The duo is made up of Dan Smyers and Shay Mooney.  These 2 Nashville based songwriters have been writing music together since only 2012, but have already penned hits for Rascal Flatts, who they both list as a huge musical influence.

Dan grew up outside of Wexford, PA and Shay from Natural Dam, AK.  As a duo they have eclectic musical influences, listing: Tom Petty, Dave Matthews, USHER with Kenny Chesney and Alison Krauss.  This makes their sound fun to listen to.

There first single off their soon-to-be-released album is called '19 You + Me.'  Give it a listen and let us know what you think.  I'm sure it will soon be one of my top requested songs on Noon Toons.
