With the non-stop cold snap plowing the Southern Tier for months now, it's no wonder everyone has a serious case of cabin fever.  Here's an idea for all you First Friday art lovers.  Catch the new art exhibit at SUNY Broome.

The new exhibition at the SUNY Broome gallery features the prolific artwork of nine talented Art and Design instructors: Hall Groat II, Richard Harrington, JW Johnston, Peg Nocciolino, Nancy Ryan, Maryanne White, Mark Williamson and David Zeggert.

The work includes brilliant landscape oil paintings that explore the Central New York's Taughannock Falls, along with a series of elegant ceramic vessels, mysterious etchings, sensitive monotypes and captivating large-format photography.

The exhibition runs through March 8 at the Gallery, located in the Library. A closing reception will be held during First Friday from 3:30 to 5 p.m. March 6. The gallery is open from 7:30 a.m. to 10 p.m. Monday through Thursday, from 7:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Friday, from 1 to 5 p.m. Saturday and from 3 to 7 p.m. Sunday.
