New Addition at Animal Adventure Park

Our family loves going to Animal Adventure Park in Harpursville. It's very interactive. We love that you can feed the animals and the workers give educational and fun chats about some the animals.  Speaking of feeding the animals.

This Friday, October 21st, Animal Adventure is adding a new Giraffe Encounter Feeding Deck. It's all part of there plan to have an interactive and educational experience for all.

This was made possible by Lowe's Heroes program. The volunteer program, made up of Lowe's employees, adopts a project each year with a local organization. There mission is to enrich the community where they live.

This year Lowe's of Binghamton chose Animal Adventure. Thirty Lowes’ employees worked one week to complete the project before the park’s October 31st seasonal shutdown.

The Giraffe Deck will let us get eye to eye with the resident reticulated giraffes, Oliver & April. They followed ADA (Americans with Disabilities Act) guidelines to make sure everyone,regardless of ability, can participate.

It'll be open for two more weekends for the season; Friday - Sunday from 10 am – 5 pm.

The Giraffe Deck will also be open both weekends so you can visit with Oliver and April before the expected arrival of their calf this winter. WHAT? That's right, there will a new addition soon.
