NCAA Tournament Bracket Challenge Complete – How Did You Do?
The NCAA Bracket Challenge has come to an end. After a dizzying tournament with multiple upsets (FGCU anyone?) and a shocking Final Four team, few brackets remained intact, let alone perfect.
But, not to despair — many of our basketball savvy listeners whooped our DJs, who finished in this order:
99.1 The Whale’s Big Wally – 38 Points
Big Wally correctly picked the Louisville Cardinals to become tournament champs. However, he had the Wichita State Wheat Shockers out in the very first round to Pittsburgh, which hurt him.
WNBF’s Roger Neel – 36 Points
Roger Neel nearly picked the Midwest and West regions to a T, but put too much faith in the Miami Hurricanes and Kansas Jayhawks on the other side of his bracket, leaving his finishing result uneven.
98.1 The Hawk’s Glenn Pitcher – 34 Points
The Hawk’s Glenn Pitcher fell to his basketball guru Morning Show co-host Traci Taylor and lost steam in his tournament picks when he tried to ride Ohio St. and Georgetown to the title game.
Leading all scores was 98.1 The Hawk listener Don B – 46 Points
Don wisely selected 12/16 Sweet Sixteen teams correctly — amazing! — and he correctly saw the Louisville Cardinals capturing the crown.
Congrats to Don B, and our DJs for their scores and a huge ‘Thank You’ to everyone who participated. March Madness is a wonderful time of year!
