Mud Run and Music Fest Saturday in Richford

Here's something fun to do with the kids to do on a breezy Saturday in the Southern Tier.  The Mud Mountain Rock and Run is Saturday and features a 5K timed mud run with 12 challenging obstacles is open to children ages 4-12 and a free music festival.

The fun mud event will take place in Richford from 9am-3pm at the Broome-Tioga Sports Complex on Shaffer Road, benefiting the Family Enrichment Network.

There are a number of improvements this year including clearer more defined routes, new obstacles, better bigger fire and more mud, less water.

The cost of the Kids 5K is $25.00 for an adult and a child team, add $5.00 per extra child (for up to three children). For kids running by themselves the cost is $15.00.  Prices for the main race start at $55.00.

The free music portion of the day will run Saturday from 10am-2pm, featuring The Rhythm Gypsys, Tumbleweed Highway and Grace's Ghost. Listen to some free tunes before you grab a shower.
