Authorities say 21-year-old Jeffrey Setter of Brockport faces several charges in connection with the chase.

According to state police, Setter was clocked at 81 mph on Route 17 in the Town of Owego late Monday morning.

Investigators say Setter would not stop for a trooper. They say he pulled off the expressway at Exit 64 before driving onto Sulphur Springs Road at more than 90 mph.

Police say the trooper continued to follow the motorcyclist and found the bike had gone off the road and into a ditch.

Setter was not injured. Officials said the chase last about one minute.

Setter was charged with reckless endangerment and unlawfully fleeing a police officer, in addition to several traffic violations.

Setter was arraigned in Owego town court. He was sent to Tioga County Jail on $2,500 bail.
