Wow, it's hard to believe that Christmas is only about three months away. When we think of Christmas, many think of the less fortunate especially children. Christmas may be three months away but bikers in our area are starting now in helping the kids.

On Saturday, bikers in the Southern Tier are taking a ride to Tioga Downs to raise money for the annual Toys for Tots shopping trip in December. The ride will be led by Binghamton H.O.G. (Harley Owners Group) Chapter members.

Riders will meet beginning at 8am at Southern Tier Harley-Davidson. The Broome County Corvette Club will join in and everyone will leave at 10am for an escorted ride.

They will make a stop in Owego and will join up with the custom and classic car group. That will be an awesome sight as they all travel as one to Tioga Downs to help raise money for the kids in our area.

The Binghamton H.O.G. Chapter's motto is "Ride and Have Fun." I think it's even more fun when you are raising money for those who need it in our area, In fact, they've raised over $100,000 since 1989.

In Binghamton, Toys for Tots is run by the Binghamton Police Department with help from volunteers. Last year, they helped more than 1,000 families and 3,000 kids in Broome County.

Saturday looks like a great day for a ride with sunshine and temperatures in the 60's.
