You've probably heard the saying "money won't buy you happiness" right? Well, it turns out that there's truth to that.

Researchers at the University of British Columbia found that money can make you less sad, but not necessarily happy.

Researchers studied the effects of income on happiness and made a distinction between lack of sadness and real, honest-to-goodness happiness, and found that more money won’t make you any more optimistic or upbeat but it can make life’s inconveniences stink whole lot less.

People in the study who made more money were found to experience less sadness on a daily basis, but not more happiness.

So, let this be a little lesson. There's no use in blaming your lack of happiness on your lack of money. It's not a money problem. As Glenn likes to say, "it’s a “you” problem."
