AAA expects 36.1 million people to travel more than 50 miles away from home this Memorial Day Weekend, up 1.5% from last year and the second-highest number of travelers since 2000.

Experts say they think so many people will hit the road because the economy is recovering and because of the brutally cold winter we had. We were all so cooped up and while the weather hasn't exactly been "summer-like" temps are much better than they were.
