Sometimes the unexpected happens to good people. In the case of Kimberly Bosket, a very good person.  In fact you might say she is a angel among us.

Kimberly Bosket has a heart of gold.  In the not so distant past, this Deposit native would do missionary work in the poorest areas of Jamaica and Honduras and loved to make a difference.  Kimberly has always loved helping people, especially children.  She worked early in her career with children with autism, later moving on to nursing and then worked with the Union Volunteer Emergency Squad as an EMS specialist.

From all this, I'm sure you've gathered that Kimberly is a very caring and hard working person.  But she also knows how to have some quiet time as she has a great love for the outdoors, with fishing and hiking her favorites.

But recently the unexpected happened to Kimberly.  She was on her way home from a tubing trip at Greek Peak this past January when a passenger lost control of their vehicle on some black ice, leaving Kim's vehicle t-boned by another vehicle on Kim's side.  Kim was rushed to Upstate Medical in Syracuse where she was a patient in Neuro ICU for over a month.  When she left for Sunnyview Rehab in Schenectady, Kim only had function on part of her body and could not speak.

More than anything else, Kim wants to get back to work at the Union Volunteer Emergency Squad so she can help others but right now, needs the help of others to make that goal happen. Kim's parents are facing many challenges as they are trying to work and take care of Kim at the same time with the financial burden becoming overwhelming.

Friends are planning a benefit for Kim on Sunday, July 31st from Noon-4 at the Endwell Fire Department on Country Club Road.  Right now, they are reaching out to the community, looking for donations to make raffle baskets and items to be auctioned off. If you can help, please contact Debbie Wagner at Bosketbenefit@gmail.com or call 607-725-5457.  Items can be dropped off or picked up.

You can also help by making a financial donation.  Checks should be made payable to Debby Wagner (Kimberly is unable to sign at the present time) and mailed to: Kim Bosket Benefit, c/o Debby Wagner, 47 Glann Road, Apalachin, NY 13732.

Also, feel free to pass the word about the July 31st benefit for Kimberly.  Prayers and thoughts for continued progress for Kimberly Bosket.
