McDonald’s Hot Coffee Controversy Is Back

Nope, it's not the '90s, this is really happening again. A woman named Joan Fino who lives in California is suing McDonald's for more than $2 million because her hot coffee spilled on her.

Joan claims the coffee she ordered from a drive-through spilled on her lap and because it was so hot she suffered second-degree burns to her groin area and that a year later it still hurts.

Joan also claims that McDonald's intentionally overheats its coffee because the "scalding" temps keep it fresher longer, and that's apparently unsafe.
