McDonald’s Hot Coffee Controversy Is Back

Fuse

Nope, it’s not the ’90s, this is really happening again. A woman named Joan Fino who lives in California is suing McDonald’s for more than $2 million because her hot coffee spilled on her.

Joan claims the coffee she ordered from a drive-through spilled on her lap and because it was so hot she suffered second-degree burns to her groin area and that a year later it still hurts.

Joan also claims that McDonald’s intentionally overheats its coffee because the “scalding” temps keep it fresher longer, and that’s apparently unsafe.

Don’t all of their cups have a hot warning label written all over it because of the last lawsuit?
