May is Mental Health Awareness Month
May is Mental Health Awareness Month.
Tonight two amazing Union-Endicott high school students will be recognized for their youth mental health initiative. It’ll happen at tonight’s U-E Board of Education meeting. They will present the proceeds from their April 22nd “Bowling for Mental Illness” event.
Executive Director at MHAST will accept the donation from the students class “20% Project” at the UE School District Offices at 1100 E. Main Street, Endicott. The meeting begins at 6:30pm.
Suicide is the 3rd leading cause of death in youth ages 10-24 in the country. Things are tougher for our youth then ever before especially with social media. It’s important to look for the signs.
Go here to see the signs and what we as parents can do. Our kids may be afraid to let us know that something is going on in their lives and that they can’t handle it.
