May is Mental Health Awareness Month. The Mental Health Association of the Southern Tier (MHAST)  and the Binghamton Rumble Ponies are teaming up to promote mental health issues.

On Friday, May 12th, the Rumble Ponies are turning purple on DIFD (Do It For Daron) Night. DIFD is a program promoting youth mental wellness and suicide prevention. You can read about Daron's story here.

For that night only, the players will wear special Purple Jerseys, the game worn jerseys will be auctioned off right after the game. All proceeds will go to MHAST to promote mental health awareness in the Southern Tier. Get your tickets for the game and we'll see you there.

Suicide is the 3rd leading cause of death in youth ages 10-24 in the country. Things are tougher for our youth then ever before especially with social media. It's important to look for the signs.

Go here to see the signs and what we as parents can do. Our kids may be afraid to let us know that something is going on in their lives and that they can't handle it.
