Mason Ramsey has had a rapid rise to the top, to say the least of things, even for someone placed in the category of "viral sensation." Just two months after the 11-year-old became famous for a video yodeling at an Illinois Walmart, Ramsey is in the position of going back to where it all began: His official studio recording of Hank Williams' "Lovesick Blues" was released Friday (June 9).

The recording comes after his signing with Atlantic Records and Big Loud in Nashville, which led to his debut single "Famous." Ramsey's version of the classic is clear as a bell, but doesn't rely on any bells or whistles—it's a straightforward version that concentrates on his vocals, and includes his signature yodeling.

Since his debut at Walmart, Ramsey has racked up quite the performance resume, including slots at Coachella, Stagecoach and the Grand Ole Opry. He may be only 11 years old, but he has a refreshingly mature outlook on his sudden fame. "Twenty-eight days ago I was yodeling inside my local Walmart to 11 people. This past weekend I performed in front of 100,000 people at Stagecoach," he tweeted at the end of April. "It’s amazing what can happen in just a month."
