As we creep closer to Valentine's Day, it's time to brace yourself for the barrage of mushy posts, photos and engagement announcements on Facebook.

If you're single and engagement doesn't seem to be in your near future, there's actually an app, created by Time, that will access your Facebook feed and tell you when you should get married to stay on track with the rest of your social network.  In other words, when you should get married so that you're not the lonely old grey mare of your friends.

The median ages to marry for men and women, respectively, are 29 and 27, but everyone's social group has a different marital age, depending on a variety of factors.

The marriage app takes all that into consideration and actually gives you a countdown until you're above the average within your social circle.

Nothing says romance like an online algorithm hacking into your social networking account and judging you for being single, but still- I was curious and decided to try it out for myself, even though I'm already married.

Of my Facebook friends who are married, the median age that they were married was 36.5 years old. So if I weren't already married, that would leave me roughly 1 year and 6 months to tie the knot. I was surprised at the number. I thought it would definitely be a lot younger.
