Tommy Lukrich is a 23-year-old college graduate who is handing out $100 bills to generous strangers he encounters while walking across the country.

Tommy's journey began in late May in Seattle and he's been averaging 18 to 23 miles a day. His plan is to arrive in New York City within the next few days and Tommy says he knows he wouldn't be where he is today without the help of a lot of people along the way.

So, he’s been rewarding Good Samaritans from coast-to-coast with $100 bills.

"I’ve had a lot of people who’ve helped me out in times of need, and I wanted to give back," said Tommy. "My idea is to give back to people who are willing to be kind and generous."

Tommy managed to raise $6,000 through an online crowdfunding campaign and all of that money is being distributed to strangers who show him kindness.

"There are things I don’t turn down: food, showers, and places to stay." And in return, Tommy has been surprising these kind strangers with $100 bills, which they also haven’t been turning down.
