Man Auctions Off Honeymoon After Bride Dumps Him

Imagine you’ve planned a vacation getaway to the Dominican Republic with your loved one. Bliss. Now, imagine your loved one backs out. Rough. Okay, NOW imagine the vacation is actually your honeymoon and your FIANCE just backed out of, not only the honeymoon, but also your wedding! Sounds like something you’d only see in a movie (or a Dierks Bentley song), right?

Wrong.

Believe it or not, this is actually somebody’s reality. According to CTV News, that somebody is John Whitbread of Britain, who found out just six weeks before him and his now ex-fiance were set to say their, “I do’s” that she no longer loves him. Well, it turns out that the newly single Whitbread cannot get his money back for the trip, so the only possible solution for the extra ticket? Auction it on eBay, of course!

He says although he would be okay with vacationing alone, he would like to give somebody the chance to join him on a “once in a lifetime opportunity,” which is apparently getting some good feedback because the auction is up to $7,000!

Whitbread writes on the auction page, “I enjoy a good laugh with a good sense of humor. I'm not boring, I'm adventurous, otherwise I wouldn't be doing something as ridiculous as this. I smoke, I drink and damn have I got some sharp moves on that dance floor!"
