Man Accused of Bringing Heroin Into Tioga Jail
An Owego man was ordered held in Tioga County Jail after he was accused of sneaking drugs into the facility.
Authorities say 31-year-old Lance Williams of Bolles Hill Road was charged with promoting prison contraband and criminal possession of a controlled substance.
According to the Tioga County Sheriff's Office, Williams is suspected of bringing a packet filled with heroin into the jail.
Williams was arraigned in Owego town court and sent to the jail on $10,000 bail. He is scheduled to return to court on August 15.
