Whether it’s setting up camp in your backyard and roasting marshmallows once a summer or vacationing at the same sea-side town with your family and friends, traditions are made when something just feels right year after year, and after 125 years of feel-good fun, the Afton Fair in Afton, New York is one tradition that’s here to stay.

Just a quick 30 minute drive outside of Binghamton, the Afton Fair will be held today, July 9th through Saturday July 12th, hosting rodeos, truck pulls, line dancing, karaoke, musical performances, carnival rides, and so much more!

There’s just something about early July weather (aside from that quick visit from Hurricane Arthur, of course) that screams for ice cream and fair food and calls for a night of carnival lights and fireworks. We’ll be looking forward to satisfying our mid-summer cravings in Afton with Wednesday night fireworks at dark, Ferris wheel rides all week, and fair food that’ll leave you wishing you’d followed your dreams as a kid and ran-off with the circus.

Don’t miss a second of the fun and check out the fair’s website for further event and ticket information. Who knows, you might just make it your new summer tradition!
