Major Security Flaw Discovered in iPhones
This stuff never seemed to happen while Steve Jobs was still with us. A cyber-security firm says they've found a major flaw in the operating systems that power iPhones.
FireEye says that hackers can use something called a "Masque Attack" to infiltrate iOS 7 or iOS 8 and gain access to your personal information. The way it works is that you get offered an update of a popular app, like Flappy Bird. But when the download initiates, it's for a Gmail update that looks like the real thing except that it's really a bug is stealing all your E-mail data.
FireEye says it told Apple about the flaw back in July, but we're just hearing about it now.
