Magic City Ice Co. Demolition Begins

Demolition is underway on a building that has long been considered an eyesore right at the northern gateway to the City of Binghamton.

The Magic City Ice Company, formerly Cutler Ice on Front Street is being razed.

Plans for the demolition had been announced in the State of the City Address earlier this year.

The demolition had been delayed by a few weeks before asbestos removal began at the building in preparation for the structure being removed.

There may be a flagger directing traffic on Front Street periodically over the next couple of days.
