Luke Bryan paid tribute to both Neil Diamond and his own wife in a crowd-pleasing performance at his Crasha My Playa event in Mexico on Jan. 20.

Bryan often throws fun cover songs into his set at the annual event, which took place this year from Jan. 17 - 20 in Riviera Maya, Mexico. He included a cover of Diamond's classic hit "Sweet Caroline" when he took the stage, giving a nod to both the music legend and his own wife, whose name is Caroline.

In the fan-shot video above, Bryan has total command of the audience as he leads them in an exuberant singalong, stooping at the edge of the stage and reaching out to fans in the front row as he sings, "Touching me, touching you." He also gets the crowd to sing the famous horn parts in the chorus and echo back to him after he sings, "Good times never seemed so good" in a fun twist on the feel-good song.

41 Reasons We Love Luke Bryan

Just days after Bryan's performance, Diamond announced that he was retiring from performing after being diagnosed with Parkinson's disease.

Bryan also joined his good friend Blake Shelton onstage during his headlining show on Jan. 19, dressed as a younger Shelton with a mullet, cowboy hat and giant belt buckle. They sang a series of old-school country covers including George Strait's "All My Ex's Live in Texas."

Bryan is hitting the road in 2018 on his What Makes You Country Tour, which runs through September.
