After a sensational weekend of live music at the Hawk's inaugural Toyota Country Lights Festival, you're invited to kick back and listen to the top 30 biggest songs in country music Sunday night from 7-10pm on 98.1 The Hawk.  This week, Little Big Town's Kimberly & Phillip join Lon Helton to give an update on band-mate Jimi, who had vocal chord surgery a few weeks ago.

They preview next month's CMA Music Fest TV special, which they'll host for the third time.  And they respond to the brief controversy about their current hit "Girl Crush."

Just before CMA Fest, the group got together for dinner in Nashville at a restaurant downtown.  Philip describes what happened next: "It's late, and all f a sudden a nice bottle of wine shows up at our table.  So Karen goes to find out who sent the wine, and found out it was Eric Church and his wife.  So we hung out a while, and he said, 'Hey I've got to do this Midnight Jam with Marty Stuart in 15 minutes, why don't you come with me?'  Well we couldn't say no, so he dragged us on stage, and we all sang Girl Crush together.  We must have sounded horrible, but it was a lot of fun."

Little Big Town will host the CMA Music Fest TV special on August 4th.  As part of that, they did some skits with the other artists. Kimberly has this story: "We did a skit with Luke Bryan.  We took the roles of talent escorts, and Jimi was driving the golf cart to bring him to the stage.  Jimi didn't realized he had the golf cart in reverse, and he whammed right into Luke's bus with Luke in it.  He put a dent in the bay door, where you keep luggage.  The cameras were rolling, so that'll probably be in the special."

Kimberly & Philip also have great stories this week about Keith Urban, Brad Paisley, Luke Bryan, Brett Eldredge, and Tim McGraw.
