I try to learn something new everyday. During the week, I try to learn something between 5am and 6am, just to get it out of the way. The weekends are tougher. On Sunday, I learned something at church and it had to do with worms courtesy of my daughter, Tara.

During the message, the pastor had 4 worms and he was gonna put them into different jars. The first worm was put into a container of alcohol.  The 2nd in a container of cigarette smoke.

The third worm was put into chocolate syrup and the 4th worm was put into good clean soil. At the end of the message, he took a look into the containers.

The first worm in alcohol...dead.  The second worm in cigarette smoke.....dead. The third worm in chocolate syrup....dead.  The 4th worm in the good clean soil....alive.

We were then asked what we learned.  I'm thinking that if we live a good, clean life we'll be alive.  Don't get caught up in the trappings of the world, etc.

Tara tells me that she knows the answer. I'm thinking this is AWESOME, she gets the moral of the story. So I say to Tara, "What does it mean to you?"

Tara says, "Does it mean if you drink, smoke and eat chocolate, you won't have worms?"

Not exactly the answer I expected but I did learn something...I learned that you can't help but love the mind of a child, especially when it's your own.

By the way, no actual worms were hurt in the telling of the story.
