Looking to take a road trip on Saturday. Well how about a trip to Watkins Glen and the International Motor Racing Research Center?  Legendary racer and motorsports broadcaster Sam Posey will speak.

Saturday, Posey will be the honored guest at IMRRC. He'll talk about the Formula 5000 racing series. It was lauded by some and overlooked by many.

The 1968 Le Grand Mk7 that Posey drove in the F5000 series in 1968 will be the centerpiece of the talk. The car has been on display at the Racing Research Center since December. He would drive to second place in the Formula 5000 series in 1971 and 1972.

A few years ago Sam was interviewed by Road & Track magazine. He said "No one outside the racing world seemed to know F5000 existed." He's going to try and change that on Saturday. The free talk will be at 1 p.m. All are welcome.
