Your 1st place Binghamton Mets scored two runs in the 2nd before Erie scores 5 unanswered to win the series opener 5-2. That's their 3rd consecutive series opening loss. The Mets go at it again tonight when Syracuse basketball alum Lawrence Moten comes to NYSEG Stadium.

Tonight one of the greatest basketball players in Syracuse history and the Big East’s all time leading scorer will be here.  Lawrence “Poetry” Moten will be here for a meet and greet autograph session beginning at 6.  He’ll be on hand to help out the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation. To find out more about the CFF, go here.

Lawrence along with fellow Syracuse alum and Maine Endwell Varsity Girls head coach (and one heck of a dentist) Sonny Spera will throw out the first pitch.  Yes, he's my dentist.

The Mets will also go Around the World in 9 innings. They’ll be traveling the world to a new country each inning with various promotions and activities around the ballpark.  Then stick around after the game for another fireworks night.  First pitch is at 7:05.

Tomorrow end the weekend with the Binghamton Mets with “Kids Eat Free” courtesy of 98.1 the Hawk.  All kids14 and younger with paid admission, get a hot dog, drink and two snacks. Also tomorrow, you’ll want to get there before the game and take a picture with your favorite Binghamton Mets players. It’ll be on the first base warning track and bring your own camera to take the picture. First pitch is at 1:05.

Come watch your 1st place Binghamton Mets.  To get tickets and to find out about any of these events (along with upcoming activities) go here. LET’S GO METS.
