Lauren Alaina went live on Facebook on Saturday (April 8) after learning that she had the No. 1 song in the country with "Road Less Traveled." Overcome with emotion about receiving her first-ever chart-topping single, Alaina was in tears throughout the nearly four-minute video clip.

"I'm a mess," she told fans via Facebook Live — although they could see it for themselves "I just got a call from my label saying 'Road Less Traveled' ... I can't even say it. 'Road Less Traveled' is the No. 1 song in the country. I wanted to get on here and say thank you to everyone who has supported me. This is the beginning. I can't believe it's here."

The clip finds a sobbing Alaina thanking co-writers Jesse Frasure and Meghan Trainor for writing the song with her, as well as her label team and country radio for playing "Road Less Traveled."

"I'm a mess, clearly. I've had such a great year. You guys have been so good to me," she says, trying to smile. “I’m going to have a No. 1 hit for the rest of my life. I appreciate your support. I’m sorry I’m ugly-crying. I just wanted to say thank you to everyone and say that I hope it’s the first of many.”

In between thanks, she wondered aloud if she could filter her post on Facebook.

“My freckles are coming through my foundation right now. It’s a situation,” she jokes in the video. "I've heard people say, 'It's going to happen! It's going to happen!' I just can't believe it. I'm so humbled and thankful and proud of all of us. You guys have never given up on me. It only took us six years but we finally did it. Okay, I'm going to go because this is kind of embarrassing. I love you guys so much. So much! Thank you."

"Road Less Traveled" is the second single from Alaina's studio album of the same name. It was released in January.
