Do you have a child between the ages of 6-18 that likes to golf?  They can be a beginner, expert; boy or girl. They can participate even if they've never picked up a golf club before.

It's a golf league in the Southern Tier called USGLL, but today (3/27) is the last day to register!

USGLL is a non-profit organization dedicated to providing national team competition for young golfers. It's a Match Team Play format. Players get instruction in the etiquette and rules of golf, learn mutual respect and teamwork and develop important social skills.

My son Devon has been involved since 2010. Tara even played for one year.

The National Championship has been played the last 2 years at Traditions at the Glen Golf Course. Traditions is also the home course this year for the league.

Here's what you can look forward too:

  • Opening Day Ceremonies, Traditions at the Glen - April 12 (weather permitting)
  • Practices, Traditions at the Glen Driving Range - Practice slots assigned per team, one night a week M-Th.
  • Matches, Traditions at the Glen Golf Course - Friday evenings starting April 17 (weather permitting)

They will learn life lessons about honesty, integrity and sportsmanship. They all support and encourage each other even if they aren't on the same team. They will learn the rules of golf and get professional instruction once a week.

They still need coaches and volunteers. To find out more about more about the USGLL in our area, go here.

Once again today is the last day (3/27), don't miss it!
