On Saturday, October 6th, nearly 60 local veterans will depart from Binghamton to visit Washington, D.C. through the Twin Tier Honor Flight and will spend two days being honored for their service, and visiting their memorial(s).

So many of these veterans never received the homecoming they deserved after fighting in the war, so we want to make this homecoming extra special. Once they return to Binghamton from their two-day trip to Washington,  D.C., "Mail Call" will be conducted just as was done when they were active duty. The name of each veteran will be called and he or she will be handed a bundle of mail.  Letters from home, letters from friends and family even letters from a stranger, sending love and thanking them for their service.

If you'd like to participate, this is the last call for "Mail Call." All correspondence needs to be received by this Saturday, September 29th.  If you write, please remember to keep your note lighthearted and filled with thanks. Please refrain from including political opinions and please do not date your mail. Send your mail to:

Twin Tiers Honor Flight
Attn: Chip
PO Box 147
Slaterville Springs, NY 14881
