When you’re talking about a supergroup as big as Lady Antebellum every little thing has to be planned meticulously. And that includes babies!

As a normal human, it’s hard to imagine juggling everything involved in being a touring musician and a family life. But the group seems to have mastered the balance to make it work.

The trio even admit that the exciting news of Hillary Scott’s pregnancy — which she revealed in September was to twin girls — came at the perfect time.

"We don’t keep anything a secret, so we knew," Charles Kelley tells Taste of Country's Billy Dukes. “So when [Scott] goes ‘we’re pregnant,’ we’re like ‘congratulations’ and I said ‘when are you due?’ She said February, and I said ‘perfect timing!'"

"And then I followed it up with, ‘Both heartbeats are healthy,'" adds Scott dryly.

“To feel like we’re still doing this, and still making time to live our lives, I think that’s what I love about what we’re doing,” Kelley notes.

To add to the fun — and timing — Dave Haywood and his wife are expecting their second child (and first daughter) before the end of the year. Scott, who is mom to 4-year-old little lady Eisele, had this advice for raising a girl:

“I think the biggest thing is just those daddy-daughter moments,” she relates. “I can’t wait for [Dave] to experience [them].”
