This was a big week for the Hawk concert calendar.  Monday we announced the rest of the already lineup for the Toyota Country Lights Festival that includes Easton Corbin, Eric Paslay, Lindsay Ell and Kolby Oakley, joining headliners Montgomery Gentry.

If you were at the Broome County Fair last summer, or any of the recent big shows he has opened, you already know what an energetic entertainer Kolby is.  He may be in his 20's but his talent, stage presence and the way he commands his guitar, Kolby acts more like an industry veteran.

These days Kolby has been spending all his time in Nashville, writing and recording new music.  It's an exciting time for Kolby in his career.  He's been getting a lot of attention in Nashville and deservingly so.  Kolby has a dream and to make that dream happen, he packed up everything and moved to Nashville.  It was a huge move for Kolby but that's what you have to do to make it.

But his New York State fans miss him.  He already has some dates on the books, including a big stop at NYSEG Stadium for the Toyota Country Lights Festival, July 22nd in Binghamton.

In the meantime, Kolby Oakley has released a new tune that is available on iTunes and his web site called 'You and a Six String.'  Kolby wrote the song and produced it.  Give it a listen and let us know what you think.

I very much look forward to Kolby Oakley coming home so I can again interview him in the Hawk Studio about his Nashville experiences.  We now have some mutual friends and it will be interesting to catch up with Kolby.  And I know his huge fan base is looking forward to hearing some of that new music when he opens the Toyota Country Lights Festival July 22nd in Binghamton.

Reserved grandstand, Field tickets and VIP tickets for the Toyota Country Lights Festival are on sale at CountryLightsFestival.com, at the NYSEG Stadium Box Office or click HERE.
