Kid’s Fishing Day at Chenango Valley State Park

Six out of the seven siblings in my family have been known to take off for a day at the river with pole in hand and cell phone left behind to clear their minds. Fishing is something my family has been doing since we were kids and I think if you're looking to introduce your kids to fishing, this would be a great way.

Kid's Fishing Day is this Saturday, May 10th at Chenango Valley State Park from 8am-1pm. Check in starts at 8am with door prizes available from 9am-1pm for kids. The grand prize drawing will be held at 1pm (you must be present to win).

At Kid's Fishing Day, kids will also be able to take free fly casting lessons and free fly tying lessons. The day will  include activities and lunch and the cost is $2 for kids under 16-years-old.
