Fans and media aren't the only ones stunned by what is said to have occurred at a recent Keith Urban concert near Boston. The country superstar has broken his silence regarding the alleged rape, explaining that he was "horrified" to learn of the incident.

The Mansfield, Mass. concert on July 26 saw the hospitalization and arrest of many concert-goers for alcohol-related issues. Later, news broke that an 18-year-old man was charged with raping a 17-year-old girl on the lawn of the Xfinity Center. The pair did not know one another.

Urban took to his personal webpage to share his feelings about the events, which he says do not represent the typical nature of his shows.

"My team and I were horrified to learn of the events reported in Boston this past weekend and our hearts and prayers go out to all those affected," he writes on his website. "This type of behavior stands in stark contrast to the spirit of our shows.”

Police are still looking into the rape case, trying to gather information from various cell phone videos and photos that were captured by onlookers. The accused man -- who claims that the act was consensual -- was charged with one count of rape and released on $10,000 bail.
