We all love Halloween, but extra care may be needed if you have pets!

1st the pet costumes. Keep  your pets unrestricted. try the costume on your pet before Halloween so you can get a feel of whether or not your lil Fluffy or Spot is ok with this extra stuff "stuck to them". Their costumes shouldn't be restrictive either. Choose a costume for your pet that is loose and doesn't cut down their movement.

Be mindful of your hanging decorations. Strings that hold the skeleton in the doorway and orange light strings around your door sure do look spooky, but if your dog or cat get all tangled in the lights a disaster could be on the way.

The next big deal is visitors!! Does Spot go crazy when people knock at your door?? That's a lot of stress for him! Make sure you have a place for your buddy to go that is knock free. Maybe a friends house in the sticks where Trick or Treaters don't travel to often. Even a room in the back of the house that is fairly quiet will do.

Lastly PLEASE REMEMBER The candy is for the kids! Chocolate is poison for your pets! If your want to have your pet participate in some Halloween treat eating, make sure they come from the appropriate bag.

Spot will thank you and Fluffy will just purr alot...
