Old school meets neo-old-school in Kacey Musgraves’ new music video, featuring Willie Nelson. Musgraves’ throwback style proves its worth by teaming up with one of country’s greats for the dreamlike ballad “Are You Sure," and the artist definitely holds her own across from the legend.

Musgraves starts the bluesy country tune, sitting at a roadside bar and wondering out loud as she sings, “Are you sure this is where you want to be?” The song moves slowly in the way all great country ballads of the 1960s and 1970s do, and Musgraves’ band are dressed to fit the part, performing on the bar’s stage in the background.

Nelson lends his vintage six string to the song before he joins in on the vocals, showing he’s absolutely still got it. The icon takes the guitar solo himself before the duo come back in, alternating lines and closing out the song in unison as if they’ve been singing together for years. Check out the full video above.

The song is a “secret” track on Musgraves’ most recent album, Pageant Material, written by Nelson along with Buddy Emmons. Her sophomore effort was released to critical acclaim and debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard Top Country Albums chart. Musgraves has been on the road with her tour, titled the Kacey Musgraves Country & Western Rhinestone Revue, which kicked off Aug. 27.

When not performing, Musgraves doesn’t waste any time, putting out a new line of boots and throwing adorable princess parties for 3-year-old cancer patients on her off days.
