Authorities say Alpha Ketchatcham was taken into custody a few minutes before 7 a.m. Friday.

Police say Ketchatcham was found by SWAT team members hiding inside a kitchen sink cabinet in an apartment at 19 Main Street.

Officers were called to the three-story apartment building around the 3:30 a.m. after a woman sent a text to a neighbor asking that police be called.

Police determined the woman and possibly others were being held against their will in an apartment.

The woman and a small child were released unharmed shortly after police started negotiating with Ketchatcham.

Investigators say the man was not hurt when he was taken into custody.

Ketchatcham was charged with coercion, assault and unlawful imprisonment. He also faces a count of criminal obstruction of breathing.

Police say Ketchatcham had been wanted on warrants for robbery, criminal mischief and harassment.
