The GAP in Johnson City will be closing its doors at the end of business day today, Monday March 25th, due to sluggish sales.

The Johnson City store that features great quality fashion for men, women and children will discount some of the merchandise through the end of today and will then most likely move unsold items to other stores.

Store officials site the economy, changing demographics in the Binghamton area and "sales that weren't there" to warrant the store staying open.  Plans are to open an outlet store on the crowded Vestal Parkway in the coming months.  Regular GAP stores will remain open in Ithaca and Syracuse.
