Another year has come and gone at the Dick's Sporting Goods Open.

Another country music concert sell-out, record crowds and another different winner of the event. 9 tournaments, 9th different champion.

Congratulations to Jeff Maggert! For the 2nd straight year, the winner came from 4 strokes back to win. Last year, Bernard Langer shot a final round 66 to win by 1.

Jeff defeated Paul Goydos by 2. He says that he'll be back next year to defend his title. Maggert wins his 2nd  title in his last 3 starts and claims his 4th win of the year. He's won 5 times in his 28 overall starts.

Maggert is the 7th person to win this event in his first appearance. Only Lonnie Nielsen (2009) and Bernhard Langer (2014) did not win the tournament in their 1st start at the Dick’s Sporting Goods Open.

Jeff is on quite the roll. With the win, he moves past Langer and Colin Montgomerie for 1st in the Schwab Cup point race.

Defending champion Bernhard Langer finished in a tie for 20th. 2-time BC Open Champion and home town hero Joey Sindelar finished 4-under and tied for 34th place.

Fred Funk, who spoke at the Christian Fellowship Breakfast on Friday, birdies 18 and finishes at 7-under and finishes tied for 17th.

Finally Mike Goodes, who also spoke at the Christian Fellowship Breakfast, made the 2nd hole in one in Dick's Sporting Goods Open history. He aced the 194-yard, par-3, 7th hole.

The only other hole in one was in the 2nd round of the 2007 inaugural event.  R. W. Eaks made a hole in one on the same hole in the 2nd round of the 2007 event. He would go on to win that year.

Great, enthusiastic and respectable crowds all weekend long. This is one of the reasons that the players love coming here year after year.
