The Jewish Community Center (JCC) of Binghamton is helping with the 10th Annual Scholastic Pajama Drive. This annual drive collects brand new pajamas in both child and adult sizes and matches every pair of pajamas donated with a brand new book.

The pajamas and books are distributed to families living in Shelters to help give every child a cozy and reassuring bedtime. The JCC is accepting donations of brand new pajamas in infant, child and adult sizes.

The PJ's must be in complete sets or nightgowns in order to be accepted. Child sized pajamas must be manufactured and labeled as pajamas to ensure that they are flame retardant and safe.

Boxes will be throughout the JCC to collect any donations as they come in and all donations must be dropped off by Wednesday, December 12th. Last year was the first time that the JCC participated and the organization collected 226 pairs of pajamas.

The Scholastic Book Clubs got 129,535 pairs of pajamas in total to donate to families in need. For more information, contact the JCC office at (607) 724-2417.

JCC is a not for profit group and partner agency of the United Way of Broome County and the Jewish Federation of Greater Binghamton.

Let's help to keep our kids warm this winter season.
